  • The brand was set to deliver its retro-style products to the mass-market with the launch of a high quality, affordable and unique-looking wireless speaker.
  • BoomBocs came to Quick Brown Fox in 2022 to launch the STUDIO and raise brand awareness across B2C media, driving reviews in target publications.

 

The Strategy

  • We launched BoomBocs to the B2C media, utilising founder and celebrity sound engineer Jonny’s story, experience, and already established brand as our hook.
  • We offered journalists across the national and music media a sample of BoomBocs’ STUDIO speaker and interview with Jonny. 
  • We created thought-leadership pitches based on Jonny’s expertise and sold these in to journalists such as ‘Celebrity sound engineer reveals his top tracks to bring in the New Year in style’.
  • We leveraged seasonal gifting campaigns to feature the brand in Christmas round-ups, driving traffic to BoomBocs’ website and creating relevance for the brand by association with huge media titles. 
  • We positioned the brand as the go-to gift for music lovers, backed by expert knowledge and design, packed with features and finished with a retro-cool 80s throwback design. 

 

The Results

  • Secured BoomBocs impactful online features in huge B2C publications including The Telegraph, Daily Star, Hello, This Morning and T3. 
  • Generated a wealth of print coverage including in BBC Music Magazine, The Times, and Wired. BBC Music Mag said “I’m rather smitten with this retro-styled multifunctional speaker from South London-based BoomBocs.”
  • Raised the brand’s profile across national and music outlets and audiences. 
  • Made the STUDIO a must-have Christmas purchase.
  • Built a long-term Google search presence for the brand with round-ups which continue to rank highly in searches for wireless speakers.
